For the past years, the titleholders of Miss Universe have been wearing this so-called Peace Crown which won in a public voting against its sister crowns–Unity and Hope in 2009. With its 416 carats of Nexus Diamond gemstones 544 grams of 14k 18k white gold and platinum and lab-created rubies; indeed, this crown reinforces the glamour to the international beauty title. But as the Miss Universe Organization consistently recreates their crown, the time to officially say goodbye to the Diamond Nexus Lab’s Miss Universe Crown has come.
It was made public on August 11 that in late July, the Miss Universe Organization has signed an agreement with Diamonds International Corporation (D.I.C) to become the Official Crown Sponsor of the MISS UNIVERSE®, MISS USA® and MISS TEEN USA® Pageants for ten years. This new crown sponsor, D.I.C., is a Czech-based international diamond brand that boasts its specialization in high end investment diamonds and in elegant jewelry collection especially for the markets in Central Europe and Asia. It is then believed the Miss Universe Organization and D.I.C. collaboratively work for the crown design process so as to capture the overall glamour of the succeeding titleholders.
