The supposed arrival of the candidates on October 6 or 7 for the 43rd edition of Miss Intercontinental Pageant in Tala Bay, Jorday was postponed due to security reasons in the said host country. The organizer, World Beauty Organization (WBO), together with the Jordan Project of Tourism Development (JPTD) and Jordanian Authorities will let security and safety issues settled first then hopefully come up with an agreed upon later date for this year’s pageant. (Note: You may read the full letter from JPTD CEO.)

Let’s hope that the security within the host country will stabilize so we may able to enjoy another installment of Miss Intercontinental. Let’s also wish that the latest that they can organize the pageant is within this year.

At this point in time, the first Binibining Pilipinas queen to wear the national sash in an international beauty pageant will be the charming Cebuana, Kris Tiffany Janson. In less than a month now, she will be flying to Tala Bay, Jordan to compete for the 43rd Miss Intercontinental pageant.

With last year’s 3rd runner up finish, the Philippine pageant fans are all rooting for Kris to get the first Miss Intercontinental crown for the country.

Best of luck, Kris!
